Taking Chances

I decided that my layout wasn't finished and I want to put some color in the flowers. It was too late to use photoshop plus I don't really know how to use it so I decided to take my stampin up felts and color the flowers. I started with one and there was no going back. I was soooo scared I would wreck the picture but then I took the blending pen from close to my heart and blend it all together....again I took a big risk. Here are the before and after...

Inspired

Well after months of not feeling very inspired I finally feel inspired once again. I haven't really done a lot of layouts recently and I think it was because I was feeling discouraged. I would see so many beautiful layouts and be envious. Why can't I do these layouts and make mine look as beautiful. But then I finally decided you know what I do like my layouts and maybe they are not as professional looking as the ones that I have seen but they are mine and that's all that matters. I don't need to be a professional or be perfect. I just have to be me.

My new little camera....

It only took over three months to get here but I think it was well worth the wait. I finally got my new little camera. We have this awesome program at work where you can get points rewarded to you for different items. I had enough points to get a little camera that I wanted to have with me at all times so if that perfect scrapbooking moment or picture was there I could take the picture. It's so cute and it fits nicely in the palm of my hand.

I also got a new cricut cartridge from eBay called "Doodle Charms" looking forward to playing with that. I've seen the pink stamper do a lot of neat things with it so I think I can do some really neat things with it too.

I haven't posted anything for a long time....

My husband was bugging me saying that I haven't added any post since February. He's right so I thought that I would just do a little update.

I am happy that I have finally figured out how to change my background. It really does help if you read the instructions.

Been doing a fair bit of scrapbooking lately. Mainly going to card classes every couple of weeks and learning some fun new techniques. I have also been to a few scraps. I was able to get my baby albums done one for my sister in law and the other one for my little sister. I just have to get the one to my little sister sent.

Added a new slide show showing some of my cards that I've done.

Lazy Winter Days

I am trying to do more scrapbooking...

I love doing it and I love creating new pages but sometimes it can take me so long just to get inspired on what kind of layout to do. I am trying to create more unique layouts and not use my typical designs. I am going to more crops which does help me to become more creative and I love seeing what other users do.

Here is a layout I created yesterday, it's simple but I am happy with the results.

A 2008 Reflection

As I look back at 2008 I can how much my life has changed this year. It started off with a Bang and is ending with a Bang. There were sure a lot of in betweens as well. The year started off really exciting. Deciding to get married in Chilliwack rather than Williams Lake that was a major change.

It was fun to plan the wedding and it was also a lot of work. I was glad though that I was able to plan most of it on my own. I really appreciated all the help though I don't think I could have done it without the help.

Illness, was probably the hardest thing to deal with this year. In the midst of all the excitement getting sick really made me open my eyes and realize how important my health is. I am very glad that I quit smoking (cold turkey) and I have stuck to it.

Our wedding and our honeymoon were absolutely the highlight of the year. I can't believe I actually got to go on a cruise with the love of my life...

The Crazyness of XMAS

....SNOW is definately a four letter word. I wish that I could say that I love the snow but I swear it caused more stress than anything. It wouldn't have been so bad if I could have stayed home and not had to go anywhere.

Even though the weather sucked and the roads were horrible. We managed to get where we needed to safely and had a very nice time.

I managed to get my scrapbooking/craft room all set up and I am very happy about that. We got the closet pretty much organized. I think we are going to get one more bookcase and then we should have the room very well layed out and it is still easy to turn into a guest room when we have company. I have been having a lot of fun playing with my cricut and learning all of the cool features that it has. I couldn't imagine using it though without the computer software. I like seeing all of the features that it it allows me to do, I was happy that I used my cricut to make my xmas cards this year. I also created a wall hanging and I am I happy with the results. It's simple but elegant...

Cricut is...

The best thing since slice bread....I swear that one day it will actually be able to slice bread.

My wonderful darling husband listened to my major major hints and finally got me a cricut...I am so addicted to this thing that it just makes me so excited to go home and place with it....

I have been having so much fun reading the cricut forums and learning all about my cricut. The software totally worth it everyone should have this software it makes your life so much easier....
